Summer CampSummer Camp

Summer Camp is a series of five-day summer camp sessions for children and adults with special needs who may not be eligible to attend other camps due to the severity of their disability or medical condition. We also include activities for campers' siblings without disabilities. Camp CAMP is located in Center Point, Texas, along the Guadalupe River. A well-equipped infirmary is available for 24-hour care. Campers sleep in large, wheelchair-assessable climate controlled cabins, along with counselors. Campers experience typical summer activities, such as horseback riding, swimming, canoeing, outdoor cooking and arts and crafts.picture1.png Sessions are filled on a first come, first serve basis

CAMP provides a summer camp experience for children with no verbal communication or self-help skills or with the need for multiple medications around the clock, tracheotomies, ventilator support, gastronomies, etc., when appropriate health care providers can be enlisted. Depending on the need of the camper and availability of volunteer counselor, we strive for a counselor-to-camper ratio of up to 1:1. For siblings without disabilities, our the ratio may be 1:5 or higher.

Summer CampSummer Camp CAMP will only accept children when we are confident that we can provide a safe, healthy, and fun-filled experience. As a result, parents and guardians must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information on application forms, and during check-in, about medical conditions, medications, dietary restrictions, and seriousness of behavioral challenges.

CAMP reserves the right to limit enrollment in its respite and summer camp programs.  Your completion of our program applications does not automatically guarantee your child’s/children’s enrollment or attendance in our events.
