Family Weekend Retreats are designed to adapt all recreational activities for Campers while including the entire family. Throughout the weekend, individuals with special needs and their families will participate in traditional camping activities such as swimming, horseback riding, canoeing, archery, outdoor cooking, arts & crafts, nature and animal encounters, paintball, music recreation, and more!
During these inclusive weekends, which begin Friday evening and end Sunday morning, families enjoy private, climate-controlled cabins. All meals are provided, and CAMP can accommodate many special diets. Campers must be accompanied by at least one parent/guardian to provide direct support during the event.
Family Weekend Retreats are open to new and returning Camper families, with priority given to those who have never attended a retreat and/or those who were unable to attend one the last year. CAMP is able to offer these retreats free of charge, thanks to the generous on-going support of Methodist Healthcare Ministries. A $50.00 deposit will be required to secure your family's spot (once offered). The deposit may be refunded or donated following successful attendance of the retreat – the choice is yours!
