Music is a favorite activity for our campers, volunteers, and staff!

Unstructured play, especially in an outdoor music environment, allows participants the freedom to explore without predetermined rules or guidelines. It provides sensory development, inspires creativity and self-expression, promotes emotional development, encourages language and communication, nurtures social skills, and improves self-confidence! CAMP's music garden will be installed in a central part of the CAMP property near the amphitheater between the arts & crafts center and the aquatics center. In the very near future, we hope to build an open-air pavilion that will allow participants to engage in instructor led and/or group led musical activities while sheltered from the sun and rain.  Then, the area in front of the pavillion will be full of outdoor musical instruments that will ignite all areas of development and further enrich children’s educational play experience while encouraging them to explore and investigate sounds, rhythms, and beats.  Below you can see some of the instruments we hope to install in 2024!
