Mark your calendars to Go Big for CAMP during the Big Give 2026! The Big Give is San Antonio's 24-hour online giving day. CAMP is participating and we need your help! We hope you will show your support of CAMP by helping us raise $75,000!

Camper Parent Message: As a parent of a child with a disability, I have seen first-hand the impact CAMP makes on campers and their families. Before CAMP, I thought no one could care for my child except me, but after meeting the volunteers and healthcare professionals who dedicate their time to ensure the daily care and medical needs of my child are met, I can rest easy knowing they are in good hands. At CAMP, <camper's name> participates in swimming, canoeing, outdoor cooking, paintball, arts & crafts, archery, a camp dance and more. Each activity is modified to meet his/her individual needs. Like many parents, the time he/she spends at CAMP is often the only break we receive all year. I love CAMP, and <camper’s name> can’t wait to go back! Lead Staff Message: Through my work at CAMP I have seen first-hand the impact CAMP has on our campers and their families. While at CAMP, I lead and mentor volunteers as they care for an individual with disabilities. I assist with the daily care needs of our campers, provide compassion, respect and encouragement, while creating a lasting friendship. For so many of our medically fragile campers, swimming in the pool or paddling a canoe is just not possible, except at CAMP! Healthcare Volunteer Message:  As a healthcare professional who has volunteered at CAMP, I have seen first-hand the impact CAMP makes on its campers. I witnessed campers on ventilators floating in the pool, paddling a canoe, and doing activities they can only do while at CAMP. This is because of the incredible support and dedication of the healthcare professionals, staff, and volunteers to determine how to do so safely so each camper could participate in each activity. Board Member Message: As a CAMP board member, I’ve had the privilege of seeing firsthand the impact CAMP has on individuals with disabilities, their families, and the volunteers who are part of the CAMP community.

CAMP creates a place where individuals can be themselves, try new things, build friendships, and experience the outdoors in ways that are meaningful to them. Whether it’s swimming, paddling a canoe, riding a horse, spending time with friends, every camper has the opportunity to participate, connect, and belong.

What makes CAMP so special is that campers are seen for who they are—not defined by their disabilities. CAMP creates an environment built around inclusion, dignity, respect, and joy.
