Work Groups
CAMP is grateful to have volunteers partner with us year-round! There are many opportunities for groups to get involved with CAMP and make a huge difference. Volunteering can be a powerful and meaningful team-building exercise. Not only is it a great way to engage with each other, it promotes collaboration, communication, and adaptability - bringing everyone closer together.
Projects
Projects at CAMP are available for one-time or ongoing service from any group that would like to help provide better experiences for our campers. Projects are available at both our Camp CAMP facility in Center Point, Texas, at our Administrative Offices at the Boorda Center on Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, and at your own location.
Camp CAMP facility: Many projects take place at the Camp CAMP facility in Center Point, Texas. Projects range in skills from assembling picnic tables, clearing trails, to building decks.
San Antonio facility: A number of projects are available throughout the year at CAMP's San Antonio facility. Projects range from general landscaping, gardening, power-washing, to indoor projects that support the administrative teams.
Your Location: CAMP also has projects throughout the year that can be completed in your own home and brought to CAMP. These projects range from sewing quilts or curtains, collecting items from CAMP's wish list, or even putting together staff and volunteer care-packages. The options are endless and we can help you select a good project for your group!
