Respite Camp Volunteers
Respite Weekend Camp is a monthly program during non-summer months (September – May) for children and adults with medical conditions or disabilities. Counselors help campers with personal care needs and assist with activities.
Staff and volunteers with experience from summer camp require no further training; first-time volunteers must attend a training session on the Friday night of their first Respite Weekend. Volunteers can earn up to 35 service hours with eligibility requirements for small stipends. Volunteers must be 15 years of age or older. Respite Weekend Camp is great for volunteers who want to gain experience prior to Summer Camp or who want to be a part of CAMP all year long!
Spring Break Camp is held in mid-March, running 4-days/3-nights, at Camp CAMP in Center Point, Texas. Counselors help campers with medical conditions or disabilities, providing for personal care needs and assisting with activities.
Staff and volunteers with experience from summer camp require no further training; first-time volunteers must attend a training session the night before their first Spring Break Camp. Volunteers can earn a small stipend (does not apply to first-time volunteers) or up to 60 service hours. Volunteers must be 15 years of age or older.
